Which insurance exam do I need to study for, take, and pass?
- Producer – someone who sells, solicits, negotiates, or services insurance policies or plans (most common license type)
- Consultant (Utah) – someone who provides advice to an insurance customer for a fee (there are not many consultants compared to producers)
- Broker (Arizona) – someone who provides advice to an insurance customer for a fee (there are not many brokers compared to producers)
- Adjuster – someone who settles insurance claims; only independent and public adjusters are required to be licensed
- Property & Casualty – includes products such as auto, homeowners, umbrella, commercial, businessowners, and workers compensation insurance
- Personal Lines – includes products such as personal auto, homeowners, and personal umbrella insurance
- Life – includes products such as life insurance and annuities
- Accident/Health – includes products such as major medical, disability, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and long-term care insurance

- Utah – $32 for one line (for example, Life)
- Utah – $44 for two lines (for example, Property and Casualty)
- Arizona – $44 for one line (for example, Life)

Get Insurance License
How much does it cost to get my insurance license?
- Utah – $28.25 for fingerprint submission fee (+ $6 Prometric processing fee); $75 for individual license fee
- Arizona – $120 per license class (for the producer and adjuster license classes); regarding the fee for fingerprints, go to www.prometric.com/arizona/insurance and follow the instructions
- Idaho – $70 for fingerprint processing fee; $80 for license application fee (regardless of the number of lines)

When does my insurance license expire?
For Utah and Idaho resident licensees, your license will expire every two years on the last day of your birth month (unless renewed).
For Arizona resident licensees, your license will expire every four years on the last day of your birth month (unless renewed).

- Complete a little or a lot at a time when it’s convenient for you; continue where you left off
- Short quizzes after each lesson; no final exam
- These courses never expire; once purchased, they will remain in the Registered Courses section of your Mountain CE account profile until you complete them
- As you complete each course, it will be removed from the Registered Courses section of your account profile and placed in the Completed Courses section; there you be able to view and/or print your Certificate of Completion by selecting the download icon in the Certificate column for each completed course

Follow these steps to view or print a CE course completion certificate for the Mountain CE courses you have completed:
- Log into your Mountain CE account to view your Account/Courses page
- As you complete each course, it will be removed from the Registered CE Courses section of your Account/Courses page and placed in the Completed CE Courses section; there you be able to view and/or print your Certificate of Completion by selecting the download icon in the Certificate column for each completed course
